ReplyDeleteHi Katherine,
DeleteWhat specifically do you agree with? In future comments, I would like you to expand on your ideas.
Mrs. Le
I agree with courtney when she says "Like the branches on the tree they grow and go their separate ways but stay connected by the roots of the tree" in the way that canadians have branched off and go their different ways but we are all connected and have something in common which is that we are canadian. We will always have our roots
DeleteI agree, your writing and thinking is so indepth and logical! Great Job! xoxox :*
ReplyDeleteHi Carley,
DeleteI like how you gave reasons for agreeing with Katherine. In future responds, I would like you to engage with the ideas a bit more. Why did you agree with Courtney's comments?
Mrs. Le
Courtney,
ReplyDeleteYou selected a beautiful image. Do all Canadians have their roots in common? I think we share a common identity (we're Canadian), but I would argue that our roots vary. Perhaps I would be more agreeable if you explained what roots we had in common.
I really liked your ability to compare Canada to the maple tree and the idea Canada has grown up as a country. That is an idea that we will consider throughout the course.
Thank you for remembering a title and a label.
Mrs. Le
That's what the branches symbolizes. Canadians all have our country in common and the love we share for it but as we grow we spread out become different and have different lives. Every person is different but yet the same because we are all connected through Canada.
