Was The Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Necessary?
I think the bombing of Hiroshima was necessary, even though there were so many things wrong with it. I can't stand the idea because of all the innocent casualties, but it was sadly necessary. Japan didn't surrender for 3 days after the first bomb, therefore the Allies had to drop another bomb on Nagasaki. The Japanese didn't surrender until 6 DAYS after the second attack because of the threat of a third bombing! If the Allies never dropped those bombs, Japan wouldn't have quit, and would keep going and going and going. Sadly those bombs were entirely necessary, if they were not dropped, the war could have played out very differently.

Prohibition in Canada
The prohibition was the law to make it illegal to have possession and sell alcohol. This law was made because the wheat used to make alcohol could be used for food, and the money that was spent on alcohol could be used to pay for food. The first province to pass this law was Prince Edward Island in 1901. By 1919 most of the provinces joined this bandwagon and had outlawed alcohol. These laws didn't last very long in most provinces. Quebec was the first to repeal the law in the same year it was established, which was 1919. Most provinces repealed the law by 1922, because of a lot of pressure from the populace. Many Canadians made a fortune smuggling alcohol into the united states, due to the law being there until 1933.

Canadian Identity
Instead of showing something that is the Canadian Identity, I'm covering something that ISN'T showing that, instead I'm going to cover one of the Canadian stereotypes surrounding snow. As we all know Canada doesn't snow all year and we don't live in igloos

Our snow usually isn't too bad and it doesn't make us idiots, and we don't get stuck in the middle of a road (unless you don't have snow tires)

We aren't the only people who get snow so it isn't strictly Canadian, therefore it be incorrect for you to say Snow is part of the Canadian identity.
