Most signficant long term cause of the depression





In my opinion the most signficant long term cause of the depression was the banks. Why I think this is the banks would loan money to anyone even the people they know who couldn't afford it because they were greedy knowing that the people who couldn't pay the loan off the bank would charge them interest.

    Anthony, you have a clear main idea. You need to build on your supporting ideas. Why were people eager to borrow money? Why do you think the government didn't regulate the industry? How did this actually lead to the Depression?

    The bank was a large factor in the Great Depression, because the lent loans to everyone, but was there other factors and if so what where they?
